How to See What Apps You Recently Deleted

In today’s fast-paced digital world, it’s not uncommon to accidentally delete an app or two from your smartphone. Whether it was a momentary oversight or a deliberate decision, you might find yourself wondering how to see what apps you recently deleted. The good news is that there are several methods you can use to track down those deleted apps and potentially restore them. Here’s a guide on how to see what apps you recently deleted on both Android and iOS devices.

On Android Devices

1. Check the Google Play Store: The first place to look for recently deleted apps on an Android device is the Google Play Store. Open the store, tap on the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner, go to “My Apps & Games,” and scroll down to the “Recently Deleted” section. If you find the app you’re looking for, you can tap on it and choose “Uninstall” to restore it.

2. Use the Recent Apps Menu: If you can’t find the app in the Google Play Store, try using the recent apps menu. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to view your recently opened apps. Look for the app you deleted and tap on it to open. Once opened, you can go back to the app list and find the option to restore it.

3. Check the App Drawer: Sometimes, deleted apps might still be visible in the app drawer. Open the app drawer and look for the app you deleted. If you find it, tap and hold on the app icon, and select “Uninstall” from the menu that appears.

On iOS Devices

1. Review the App Library: On an iOS device, you can check the App Library to see recently deleted apps. Open the App Library by swiping up from the bottom of the screen on an iPhone 8 or earlier, or by swiping up and then left on an iPhone X or later. Scroll down to the “Recently Deleted” section and tap on the app you want to restore. Then, tap “Delete” to remove it from the list, or tap “Keep” to restore it to your home screen.

2. Check the Recently Deleted Folder: If you don’t see the app in the App Library, you can check the Recently Deleted folder. Go to the “Recently Deleted” folder in the App Library, which is located at the bottom of the screen. Find the app you want to restore, and tap “Delete” to remove it from the list, or tap “Keep” to restore it to your home screen.

By following these steps, you should be able to see what apps you recently deleted and potentially restore them to your device. However, it’s important to note that the “Recently Deleted” feature only keeps apps for a limited time—30 days on Android and 14 days on iOS—before they are permanently deleted. So, act quickly if you want to recover your deleted apps!
