How to Hide Recently Added Apps on iOS 16

In the latest iteration of Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS 16, users have access to a plethora of new features and enhancements. One such feature is the ability to hide recently added apps. This can be particularly useful if you want to declutter your home screen or simply keep certain apps out of sight. In this article, we will guide you through the steps to hide recently added apps on iOS 16.

Step 1: Access the App Library

The first step to hide recently added apps on iOS 16 is to access the App Library. To do this, simply swipe up from the bottom of the screen on an iPhone with a Home button or swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen on an iPhone with Face ID. This will open the App Library, which displays all your apps in a single, searchable location.

Step 2: Find the Recently Added Section

Once you are in the App Library, scroll down to the bottom of the screen where you will find a section labeled “Recently Added.” This section contains all the apps that you have installed on your device recently.

Step 3: Select the App You Want to Hide

Next, tap on the app you want to hide. Once the app is selected, you will see a small “i” icon (information icon) appear in the upper-right corner of the screen. Tap on this icon to view the app’s information page.

Step 4: Hide the App

On the app’s information page, you will find an option to “Hide App.” Tap on this option, and a confirmation dialog will appear. Tap “Hide” again to confirm your decision. The app will now be removed from the “Recently Added” section in the App Library.

Step 5: Hide Multiple Apps at Once

If you want to hide multiple apps at once, you can select multiple apps from the “Recently Added” section by tapping on them while holding down the “Select” button. Once you have selected the desired apps, tap on the “i” icon of the first app you selected. You will then see the “Hide App” option, which you can use to hide all the selected apps simultaneously.

Step 6: Unhide an App

If you ever change your mind and want to unhide an app that you previously hid, simply go back to the App Library, find the app in the “Hidden” section, and tap on the “i” icon. From there, you can tap on “Unhide App” to restore the app to its original location on your home screen.

By following these simple steps, you can easily hide recently added apps on iOS 16 and keep your home screen organized and clutter-free.
